Oncidium Sharry Baby
Jan. 27, 2015: Here's my wonderful Sharry Baby that Tyson and Kieu gave us as a housewarming present. When we first had her, she was full of tiny little fragrant flowers that gradually fell off. Since then I repotted her in full soil (not knowing how bad that was) and she did fairly well considering. She grew new shoots and appeared to be ok for a while. Now I've repotted her in a proper container and medium. When I took a good look, the shoots she'd produced actually have very mottled spotted leaves that look terrible. I don't know exactly what the problem is, but so many things could have caused it that I'm just hoping the new pot, new medium, and new location will help her grow new leaves. I also understand that once the leaves fall off from the pseudobulb, they will not grow back. I'm just going to keep an eye on the one pseudobulb with the little nub on top to see if it does actually produce any new greenery.
Mar. 18, 2015: I've posted an update about the new pseudobulbs here.
